Welcome to GreenThumb Nursery. I’m Tammy Janssen, a retired elementary teacher, and my passion is gardening and creating green environments that promote peace, tranquility and happiness. At my home, I do this with twenty-five raised vegetable and fruit garden beds, raising chickens to produce farm fresh eggs, and lots of fruit trees. Many hours cultivating vegetables and fruits in the sunshine provide me with a deep connection to the soil and nature. Canning all the produce has led me to develop a cupboard that gives my family fresh, healthy meals year round. This is the life!
My love of all things green led me down the path of making a vocation out of my passion. I began my journey of looking for the perfect property to set up greenhouses, chicken coops, honey bee hives, fruit trees, shrubbery, and flowers. That journey led me to the old Jackson Nursery at 4001 West Main Street, Russellville, Arkansas. This nursery was amazing in its heyday, but had not been open in many years. The property was perfect, and my husband, Rusty, and I could see transforming the vacant nursery into a haven of greenery, flowers, trees, and a community resource for teaching others gardening, canning and creating their own green oasis to enjoy.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Here at Green Thumb Nursery, we offer many varieties of trees, shrubs, annual flowers, perennial flowers, houseplants, succulents, seasonal vegetable plants, herbs, planters, and seeds.
We also offer different services to meet the needs of our customers. We offer plant repotting, potting a new pot, delivery of houseplants, trees, and shrubs to loved ones, or to your home. Landscaping is now available so contact us to set a free consolation and quote.
Fun services at the nursery- gardening classes, different workshops for outdoor planters, houseplants, succulent workshops and BOOK A PARTY FOR YOUR FRIENDS OR CHILDREN. Private party's are so much fun. Here at Green Thumb Nursery we love sharing our love of plants. We even offer field trips for schools. Call us to ask about any of services and products.
